I strongly feel an external audit needs to be done on the finances. Stop trying to justify the increase by comparing us to surgeons and let’s take a look at your finances instead if you’d like to actually justify this increase. Foolish and irresponsible spending is at the root of this increase. Having members pay more for something that provides ZERO service to us is absolutely ludicrous. Sure the number of members has increased in the last few years.. but so has the amount of money you’re raking in. Figure it out - stop lining your pockets and having us bail you out of your financial mess.

We already are paying an enormous fee. Why should it be increased ?We do not have any benefits, no insurance, no access to free CME. I have heard that the office is somewhere downtown. Why pay such an expensive rent when it can be relocated in GTA with lower rent to save money from the budget?

I do not agree with it. The fees are already higher than the other professional organizations. We get no discounts or perks with membership. Why are these fees so high?

These proposed increases are not justified and should not occur.

This increase is unacceptable. The fees are already high enough

just looking for where the spending is going and what measures have been taken to cut spending

I am a manager for a large Diagnostic Imaging Company, we have been facing a technologist shortage for the past 4 years (both MRT's and DMS's). Increasing their fees is only going to push more technologists out of their field. I have heard from many techs that they feel CMRITO is not doing enough for them to warrant an increase and if push comes to shove, some are looking at changing careers. Please reconsider increasing the fees, it is hard enough keeping good staff.

The fee increase is unjustified. Especially since we pay too much already for nothing!CMRITO does nothing for the techs,No free seminars or webinars for education hours. We are paying for a big fancy office in downtown Toronto. We are already in a severe tech shortage and this will make it worse!!

As a current registered diagnostic medical sonographer I strongly disagree with the proposed fee increase. The fee is already quite high with minimal benefits to sonographers. It does not even include insurance or any benefits for us. It seems to benefit the public more than it does the members that have to pay for it. This continuous fee increase over multiple years will deter those already registered to continue, and may deter future applicants. This will cause many technologists to have a negative opinion of CMRITO.

It is already too expensive I can’t afford it

Absolutely ridiculous and unjustified. Move your offices, reduce staff. We need value for money and I don't feel like CMRITO has provided -any- value what-so-ever. Courses are terrible. We are not properly represented to the govt or the public. The college is more of a self-congratulatory group of insiders than a proper college.

I strongly against this proposal. I don't see any reason to justify the increase. CMRTO is not doing more for us and ultrasound fees didn't increase for many years!

I feel that this is a large increase especially when compared to other professions that we are currently in line with. I would like to see the operating costs reduce by maybe not being in such a high cost area for operations.

I am again disappointed by the proposed changes of CMRITO registration fees. Although this increase is now separated over three years, increasing by 16% and 12.8% are still very large amounts. We as sonographers, only had an increase of 4.8%, 3.5%, and 3.0% respectively from 2021-2024. Why are your proposed fees much higher than our wage increase? In the fee increase fact sheet you provided, our annual fees are being compared again to professionals that do not have a similar pay grade to ours - psychotherapists, physiotherapists, etc. We need to see more comparable professions. We are seriously undervalued as health care professionals and the importance of our role within the system. It is sad to see we are undervalued by you as well.

The proposed fee increases are unjustified and do not benefit the members in any way.

I disagree with an increase to our annual registration fees. As a technologist since 1984, I have seen my standard of living not keeping up.. Costs of everything are increasing daily and there is no more room to keep squeezing us as Canadians. I suggest the CMRITO looks at cost cutting measures instead of relying on its members to make their budget work.
