In a hospital setting, an ultrasound technologist employed in a full time position is not permitted by law to complete more than 1600 work hours/year in order to avoid work related disabilities.
Considering the above mentioned legislation, looks like a casual and/or part-time employed ultrasound technologist in a hospital setting or private clinic should not be asked by the employer to provide more than 1600 work hours/year.
