    CMRITO is pleased to announce the results of the 2025 Council Elections:
    • Anna Simeonov, MRT(MR)(R), has been re-elected as the Council member for District 4 – magnetic resonance
    • Zainool Dhalla, DMS, MRT(R), has been re-elected as the Council member for District 5 – diagnostic medical sonography

  • Proposed amendments to fees in By-law No. 60

    At its March 21, 2025 meeting, CMRITO Council directed College staff to initiate a public consultation on proposed changes to By-law No. 60 increasing College fees. 

    CMRITO fees have not increased since 2011. Since that time, the number of registrants the College regulates has grown by 80%, and the work associated with regulating the profession has grown considerably in volume and complexity.   • Consultation re annual registration fee

    Updated October 9, 2024

    At a special meeting held on October 9, 2024, Council voted to pause the consultation on proposed changes to By-law No. 60 regarding the annual registration fee, rescind the proposed by-law amendments, consider the input provided to date, and reevaluate the approach to the fee increase. As a result, this consultation has been closed. Following this meeting, CMRITO will reevaluate the approach to a fee increase in light of the information received through the consultation process.

  • Retirement of Annette Hornby and appointment of Carrie Bru as Quality Assurance & Professional Practice Director

    Effective June 30, 2024, Quality Assurance & Professional Practice Director Annette Hornby, MRT(R), DMS will retire from the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).

    Annette joined CMRITO in 2013 after a successful career as a medical radiation and imaging technologist specializing in both radiography and sonography.

  • 2024 Council Election Results

    The results of the 2024 election of professional members to CMRITO Council are in:
    • Amanda Lee, MRT(R)(MR), has been re-elected as the Council Member for District 1 – Radiography
    • Derek Ribeiro, MRT(T), has been re-elected as the Council Member for District 2 – Radiation Therapy
    Amanda and Derek’s three-year terms will begin at the next Council meeting on June 18, 2024.
