In order to practice in Ontario, all medical radiation and imaging technologists must meet and practise in accordance with the Standards of Practice set by the CMRITO. The CMRITO publishes the Standards of Practice on its website, and provides practice guidance through guidelines and practice advice.
All medical radiation and imaging technologists demonstrate their commitment to maintain their competence and continually improve their practice by engaging in continuing education and professional development activities, and by participating in the CMRITO QA Program.
All medical radiation and imaging technologists must maintain high professional standards. Any complaints or reports regarding possible professional misconduct will be thoroughly investigated by the College.
The College Council develops all regulations and by-laws in consultation with medical radiation and imaging technologists and the general public. We welcome your feedback and comments on issues affecting the regulation of the profession.
